Delete Degiro Account | End Your Degiro Journey

In some cases, you may want to close your Degiro account. This can happen because of one or more of the following points:

• You’re not able to trade anymore
• You find that the Degiro broker is not suitable for you after some time of trading.
• You have no intention to come back.

For these reasons and more, Degiro provides an option to delete your account permanently.

Note:

Degiro doesn’t charge any inactivity fee on your trading account.

Steps to Delete Your Account

1. To delete your account properly you should first withdraw your money from the account.

Degiro offers free withdrawals using only bank transfers within 2 to 4 business days.

1. Check that you don’t have any open positions and you’ve properly close current orders in the account.
2. The next step will be to send a request to our Service Desk at clients@degiro.co.uk in order to help you close your Degiro trading account properly.
3. Follow up on the instructions provided by the support team and approve your closing account request.

This is a sample of the email you can send to Degiro in order to delete your account.

Dear Degiro Team,

I have an account in your database with the name …… and the email address that is linked to the account is ……….

Meanwhile, for some reason, I have decided not to use the account again,

therefore I request that you kindly delete my account from your database and

also, wipe all notifications if any.
